Hi! I’m Nicole, I love to travel and experience new cultures. A fifteen month trip in 2016/17 inspired me to start the Travelling Gypsies Travel blog. A 30 day trip to Europe became 450 days when a corporate restructure at the company Mark worked for gave us the opportunity to take a gap year.
The planets aligned for us, nothing was holding us back from travelling. The kids had left home so we rented it as a source of travel income. Sadly though, our border collie had come to the end of his life.
The trip started in Italy and Croatia with friends, we went on to visit 32 countries in Europe, Morocco, USA, Mexico and Canada. We discovered hidden places on our travels and picked up a few tips along the way.
Walking is a great way to discover places that are off the main tourist track. Staying in local boutique accommodation is another great way to absorb the culture, you can read about our experiences in room reviews. We’re back in Sydney Australia now sharing our experiences and planning our next travel adventure. I hope you enjoy reading about the destinations and walking trails we discovered!
